Artist Bio

Erin Thompson is a college student and aspiring digital and traditional illustrator from the South Puget Sound area. Her work draws inspiration from her adolescent experiences and her passion around music, animation, fashion, and travels around Tokyo. She’s spent a lot of her time in the Chinatown-International District and is constantly inspired and proud of the independent artist scene and the district’s rich history. She has shown her work in Brain Energy Support Team’s “Superheroes” local community art installation at Tacoma Art Museum and has contributed multiple artworks to the local non-profit’s previous social media campaigns.

Artist Statement

My piece reflects my love for the art events that take place in the Chinatown-International District multiple times of year (Lunar New Year Market being my favorite) and getting to meet all of the local artists that make this community so wonderful! These events always have inspired me to keep creating and sharing my story and experiences with the world in a way that allows people to connect with me the way that I connect with these artists.
